Hi friends,

Just doing a research what bass Amps u guys are using? And should you upgrade which ones are u looking into. Y u choose that?

I m thinking of geting Line 6 or Hartke.. 1x15"

Cheers

I've been using my Peavey Basic 12 for almost 15 years now. But I have my eyes on a Thunderfunk or a Markbass now :D

Vox T-25 right now, waiting for shipment of my Hartke kickback 15.

I want/need/lust for an Ampeg SVT 6 with an 810E cab. People please help donate to the "I NEED A HUGE AMPEG RIG" fund =D

Or the new Warwick Jonas Hellborg Amp System. it's totally imba.

i'm using a THUNDERBIRD BX108 by Behringer.

sounds decent as a practice amp... has a few decent functions...
i'd say good enuff for home use... den again i dun play much at home... >.<

If i upgraded i'll get the vox t-25... simply cause it looks nice haha...

Currently using Hartke HA3500 with 210XL + 115XL Cabs. Now saving money to get EBS HD350 Head pair with EBS 311 or EBS 410. Any ideas how much this head cost me in sg?

Wow all using nice Amps. Current Amp only 10watt. LoL Yamaha BA-10... Went to Citymusic, sad that their price resume normal after the Dec sale.

If i am considering A100 or Kickback 15...
The features of A100 seems better than kickback 15 although kickback is 120w while A100 is 100w...
any reason y most still prefer kickback 15?

Cheers

^^?

A100 only has a graphic eq. but it has so few bands only. the A100 also distorted easily with my active pups. the kickback has more headroom. both didn't sound fantastic on my warwick. but through a passive craftsman bass, it was pretty good.

Agreed. In studio jamming,I used 4x10 VX410 and HA 3500 Amplifer head. It explosive man both on passive and active.

At Daisy Rock studio. Tried the kickback 15. Sound reasonable good too.

I'm also using a Yamaha F-20B... practice amp only... but good enough... the other Bass Amp they sell is the Crate one.... which compared to the Yamaha one, the Yamaha one is so much better.

But I wouldn't think twice to get a Harkte Kickback 15... I've used that in the studio and it's a really EXCELLENT sound.

off topic: i'm thinking of upgrading my yamaha f20b to an ibanez sw35. do you guys think that the ibanez will be too loud as a practice amp?

no, but do you really need that much more power? a practice amp is still a practice amp, and the yamaha is a pretty decent one in itself...

if it matters, i had an ibanez sw20. i'm currently using a yamaha f20b and an ampeg svt-3pro with a 2x10+1x15 cab.

Just went citymusic today and have a walk. Line 6 Low down 115, Hartke A100 and Hartke Kickback 15.

Still cant really decide to get which one. Haiz....

The Yamaha F20b is already very good for a practice amp.

But if you die die want to spend the cash, then go for the Kickback 15. I use that regularly in the studio and I really like it, it sounds great.

Haha. Thanks Pal, i m looking for something really good and can use for small gigs maybe. Tat y aiming 1x15" Amp. Thanks. Seems alot of ppl like the kickback man.

Maybe its just me, but I *really* liked the Ampeg BA combos. Used the BA115 quite extensively and have a small BA110 at home.

It has a pretty good response and the preamp is really warm. I use it as a recording pre-amp for guitar sometimes =)

Playing live the BA115 is unbelievably loud and handles the low E and B fantastically. The low end on this thing is just right.

But of course, its way overpriced at the shop............
