Hi my name is Shaun, I'm 20 this year and I have been playing the bass for almost 5 years. Though 5 years might be a long time, I think of myself to be very average. For one, I don't slap or pop and I can't find it within myself to come up with bass lines like these. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uldpc4rWNXQ)
I am currently playing for a band called Vessel (http://www.myspace.com/vesselsg) and no I have no plans on leaving them. I'm just looking to expose myself to different experiences to improve as a musician.
For my influences, I would say its hard to pinpoint down to a certain genre because I listen to so much music. Which is why I'm quite open to almost any genre, just don't expect me to be able to pull off a flea bassline for you.
