Just a little survey: MXPX and The Starting Line

Hello all!

Just doing a little survey here (on behalf of someone else). How many of you are fans of MXPX and The Starting Line? To me, both bands are equally impressive, though I haven't heard enough to actually give a qualified answer.

For MxPx, I've heard "Responsibility", "Lonesome town" and "Punk rock show", which are catchy songs, by the way. I haven't heard any of their songs since then.

The Starting Line, as mentioned by wangdexian, is not as punk (or rock, rather) as mxpx, but they're still quite an impressive set-up. "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" is a re-made version of the same song by Starship, so definitely ppl who hear this song for the first time would deduce that The Starting Line is just another Simple Plan in the market. Not that their other songs sound like Alter bridge songs but still, I think they're a respectable band.

I've got "Panic" and it's a very good album.
The reason that TSL doesn't really appeal to me is not that they aren't punk enough (I don't judge by that), but I just don't like their songs all that much.
But they are a good band that's for sure.

hmm.. any good songs from "Panic"? haven't heard MxPx for a long time. Would be good to hear them again.

It is good ol' punk rock at its best, fast and hard hitting all the way. :wink:

MxPx was one of my first ever punk rock bands that I listen to.. Nice Music with great lyrics.. I prefer MxPx to The Starting Line though.. MxPx Rocks!! :supz:

Yeah... MxPx...they are around for sometime already..

Tracks like GSF, Mylifestory , punkrockshow, everything sucks when your gone, chick magnet, quit your life, well adjusted, responsiblity, well adjust and the collaboration with blink 182's mark hoppus on the empire are hits!

tracks like wrecking hotel room and darkest places in their new album 'panic' rocks more!

anyway, this is a little off but has anyone bought and listened to the [btrustkill takeover[/b]? a compilation of the bands that are signed under trustkill records. not bad. i was never into hardcore stuff but after listening to that cd, can appreciate la.
