jus wondering-cos i bought a squire stratocaster at $238 which comes with a free strap and cable, on sale on the first floor of swee lee. the front of my guitar's neck is in rosewood colour(darker wood) and the back in maple (lighter wood)wood colour. Did any one buy the same squire strat but BOTH the front and back of the neck is in maple colour? thanks... :?

a friend of mine bought a fender squire standard the 600 plus one...
650 is the squier std series deluxe. Flame Maple Top (though I feel that the one I last saw at sweelee has a rather unattractive yellow as compared to mine (orange).).
Has unfinished neck as well. Pearloid Pickguard. A nice guitar for its price. Though in my case, the tremolo claw seems to be wrongly allocated.

actuali its just that i thought i saw the display for the squire affinity strat which i bought has the whole neck in maple colour but i wasnt quite sure. when i went back and opened my box, i found mine guitar's neck front was in rosewood colour.
I was wondering if they had given me the wrong box. I tried calling them but no one picked. It was because the place was in a sale and i was a bit confused and i didn't check carefully before leaving the place.
Actually i would have prefered my guitar to have its whole neck to be in maple colour so i went back with the guitar in its original packaging on the 2nd day of the sale and asked the person if he could change for me and they told me that they only had that in rosewood originally.
But i had this strong impression that i thought i saw the display guitar had a total maple neck. I asked the person there repeatedly and they insisted that they only had rosewood originally. I just wanted to know if they had maple colour neck for the $238 squire strat originally there. :?
