Johnson Loredo 15watt tube amp

Thanks to Phanto and the other guy who plays a custom made telecaster.

I sold off my peavey envoy to GC for $150 . Used that $$ to get the much desired Johnson tube amp.

Well , goodbye to the my favourite modern distortion voicing on the former.
The drive on the Johnson is sooo mild. Guess i have to change my playing style abit. My middle knob seem to crackle but who cares. The sound is awesome , not worth mentioning is the loudness of the amp. Good stuff includes the warmness of the amp thanks to the tube and transparency + response . The reverb sounds quite quirky and fake and full but it does the job in adding warmth. O yeah this box is naturally quite bassy and sounds like nothing but itself.

$150 well spent this year.

too bad they aint gonna bring in the full tube bigger brother to the loredo 15watts.

would love to have a go at that one though

not sure , give them a call , i just bought off their piece.

can't believe its $150 , sounds more like a boutique $300.

ok..time to head down there and get it....:)
and visit eastside guitars at the same time for some royal orangeness...

went down to davis today and the "friendly" uncle said the loredo is all sold out and they do not plan on bringin in anymore. and then he tried brainwashing me into getting one of his marshalls :s, said the loredo sucked...
signz....anyone wanna get rid of his loredo do let me know, im interested in trying it out....

yup just get it.

pointers

1)The reverb sounds uneven at 10 onwards
2)The amp is bass inclined
3)The gain knob helps to solve that
4)Don't expect anything heavy from the gain , its pure OD.
5)My middle knob crackles when i turn it.
6)Amp works flawlessly well with my pedals.
7)I sold my peavey envoy to get it , a good decision.
