Jetter Gear Gain Stage

1st, note you gotta turn it up to a certain volume (quite a lot louder than unity gain) before it opens up and sounds the way its meant to be.

The builder himself mentions that.

Some guy on G4C forum got it. He mentioned it has a fuzz-like character, so note that too.

No idea... I guess what you hear on their website is what you'll get.

You gotta be more specific in the kind of tone you are looking for. Name a band, or player or something.

This is my choice in overdrive... nothing has replaced it, every other overdrive/light-er distortion dirt boxes has fallen short when I a/b it with the blackstone.

i was thinking along the lines of the type of overdrive used during the 80s galm/hair metal scene... the fat and crunchy sort... kinda like Dean Davidson's or Tom Keifer's guitar tone...

I'm not quite clear still... what do you mean by "overdrive" used in "80s galm/hair metal" ? Overdrive in Metal is quite... you know. ;)

But if you mean you like sizzle, you like it biting and cutting, the blackstone. You wouldnt' be disappointed.
