japan fender strats

hi peeps. just wondering if any of u guys know if this is true or not: fender japan strats use mic 5-way pickup selectors, therefore they get spoilt after awhile. this is what the guy from a shop told me when i realised my pup selector was faulty after he changed my pups. anyone know??

My japan strat has no problem with the pickup selector, had it for 3 years already.

Fender Jap strats uses Gotoh parts.
Even the pots are Gotoh's.
As for the 5 way switches, I cannot verify.

How about you post a picture of the faulty switch in question.
Then there'll be no distpute

mine spoilt within six months of active gigging with it too. I switched to Switchcraft ones on Beez's recommendation
