Saw Satriani's Donnie from J&D at Peninsula. Though it is not a real thing, it is quite gorgeous.

bro! support the SOFT movement la...go check the price...we already tell the place...

ok i'll be kind..the price ranges around 150 - 200....at max 300

i have a J&D SG copy thingy....haha...its weird seeing people interested in this brand of guitars..

well,the SG is decent....

at first, when i bought the strap button was placed at an unfavouable position that causes it to nose dive all the way...

then after i drilled another hold on the upper horn..well,it seems ok now..

well,the pickups are decent...got thick tones...which i like...

what else do you want to know about the SG? and i think most J&D guitars are quite decent for playing...jammed a few in ranking...

and i'm shocked to see people interested in the brand...coz most people who want copies of guitars usually go for Tokai (Gibsons) and Squier (fenders)

You got the set neck or bolt on version? I'm thinking of getting an SG but a G-400 is way too expensive for me...and a G-310's bridge placement is too far off from a normal SG which I cannot take, lol.

Is the J&D's bridge placement like a normal SG?

G-400 Tony Iommi *drools*
or did i get the model wrong?

well,the bridge placement huh..
its the same..

the G-310 seems to be pull further down the body...mine doesnt seem to be that way...

its more like the G-400....

Hmm.

I own the G-400 and I'e also tried out the G-310.

Pickup-wise since the 310's ones are uncovered, they're slightly hotter, but I'd take the G-400 anyday since it's a set-neck offering.

Both neck-dive anyway.

wow!! haha, get a G-400 then go change the pups ar...damn u got real gibbies?!

it neck dives terribly huh? very hard to do leads rite?

Hmm.

Actually it's my go-to axe when I'm bored.

No need for excessive wood-working, I just got myself one of those leather straps from planet waves (quite long too, so can be worn to a decent "rocker" height) and you're ready to go.

Well I'm not intending to change the stock pickups because despite their inherently low output, they're hotter than some budget guitars, and despite some people talking about how muddy Epiphone pickups can be.. I don't see how that cannot be remedied by lowering the pickup height.

yar! leather straps always saves the day...mind telling me where u bought them? please? PM me if possible... :D
