Yesterday, during the meet up Ahpek bought some alchemy and istanbul agop series...

if i may know, which make and what model is it??? all i know is the 16" crash is 130 dollars...

the ride and the crash sounds awesome tho... :D

The series i brought was Alchemy Pro-Art series, mid range series. It's hand-hammered B20 cymbals. Think those who tried the cymbals at the exchange will know or rate how the cymbals fare..
Yep, the hats is at $220, while the 20" ride is at $190 and the 16" crash is at $130. You can check with Ezimusic for more details.

oh man the alchemy's were superb. i enjoyed the crash man.
and at tt price i don't mind considering man

I'll just chime in and add that the Sweet series in the Alchemy professional line are pretty amazing, if you get a chance to check those out. The hats are amazingly crisp and responsive.

From what I've read:
Alchemy Art - B8 - computer-driven machine-hammering
Alchemy Art Pro - B20 - hand-hammered, computer-driven machine lathed
Alchemy professional - B20 - completely hand-crafted.

I used to own a 20" Alchemy Professional Sweet Ride, but I sold it off for my current AAX stage ride.

The ride was amazing, but too bad it didn't suit the sound I was looking for. Nice and define bell sound when shafted, moderately dark and washy sound when you hit it on the bow, but the stick defination is clear too. I remember paying something like $120 or $150 for it 1st hand from Lemuel's old shop at Sim Lim.

Ah and I've heard the alchemy sweet hats being played by my friend in US too... crisp, articulate and overall very, very nice.... ah.
