ishibashi shipping

hey guys ... i just realised something

was doing abit of figuring , haggling and some maths... i just realised tt if we order from ishibashi , especially more than one guitar per shipment ( i enquired about 2 basses)

ishibashi will push down the shipping costs. so i was thinking. y dont we create a thread , every month , all the dudes who wanna get stuff from ishibashi , we put orders here , coordinate and then place bulk order of 5-10 units

in this way

1) can ask for discount on guitar prices
2) can get lower shipping rate

thus your cost per guitar will defintely go down

anybody keen ? i dun mind kickstarting it off by gathering all those who wanna get gear from ishibashi by doing this on a

1) quarterly basis ( once every 4 mths )
2) monthly basis ( once a month)
or half yearly basis ( every six months)

this is a not for profit thing . i aint getting a cut from ishibashi or earning money from this . just wanna get things organised so everyone can get cheap gear

Heehee... I have seen this kind of thing happening before.

Just a friendly advise, better to keep whatever order by yourself. You are dealing with humans here, can tell you that 100% somewhere down the road, someone will play you out.

Also since you are not profitting from it. Your motivation will end when you find out, people are better left to do thing themselves.

People tend not to remember when things goes smoothly who is the one responsible, but anything undesirable happen, it'll stain and stand out like a sore thumb on your records.

but i m seriouslly doing it ( not for any private benefit)

really hope everyone can get together and do a community effort , everyone benefits and gains from cheap shipping and cheaper guitars

btw does ishibashi accept debit cards ?

debit card will do just fine. u can also use it to order from music123, musiciansfriend etc. in fact, i called a small retail store in the US somewhere in florida and he took my card details and sent me my items. sweet. works just like credit card, 'cept ur acct gets deducted immediately...

yup .. made a couple of online purchases already..
with my debit card... and i got myself a paypal account...
its really super simple.. just type the person's email address... and you get a transaction receipt... thru email ...

im waitting for my eurotubes to reach me!!

yea ... but i m kidna worried ... the ishibashi dude said they dun accept debit cards but accept visa / mastercards ... but i hear debit is dangerous especially for small unknown retailers as once the trasnsaction is done , no way to recover money if goods dun arrive ETC.

ishibashi is the biggest trustable . btw musiciansfriend , musicians 123 dun ship to SG right ?

Most debit card has master/visa, rite? It is supposed to function as a credit card in terms of the mode of purchasing... Stars, if your card is either master/visa, it should work. Unless yours is diners/amex debit card?

yeap .. i mentioned it in my email to the ishibashi dude , havent got the card yet but going down to apply for it tomorrow. thinking of getting the PSOB / DBS debit mastercard ( should be easily approved ?) yea ....

its a mastercard. i emailed the ishibashi guy , he said they dont accept DEBIT cards... but they accept MASTERCARDS... but since ya guys have used debit cards with ishibashi w/o problem then should be no problem la

yep true. if the goods dun arrive. u finished man. no way of recovery. its a risk u take. in that way, credit might be better.

musiciandfriend, music123, sweetwater etc, dun ship to sg. BUT, using vPost USA, u can still get ur stuff from them. only prob is, some of them dun accept foreign billing addresses.

haha ... ishibashi not so bad ... no worries .. got shipping insurance and recovery. if i dun get my stuff in 7 days , auto refund i think. but i clarifiying with the ishibashi dude ...

i did some calculations and found out ... marginal difference between vpost japan and ishibashi EMS shipping

and EMS shipping is faster and insured ( vpost japan insured till 400 dollars max, ishibashi insured cover all)

ishibashi shipping can get within a week (tops)

and ishibashi shipping if we ordering more than 1 can ask for discount
