yes true they were off the self. but still they do not have 8 digits serial number.

this is a 1996 SG special. either a faded with white paint sprayed on. or white paint being stripped.

Thx everyone a reply from Gibson said

Hello,
Thanks for writing.
The serial number you gave me is consistent with a number used on an SG Special
with an Alpine white finish and chrome hardware from 1996.
If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.

Yes,you should..You have the right..They should return the refund to you because what you bought from them, which they thought was an SG Custom, was not an SG Custom but an SG Special..But it looks nicely aged though..If i used that and play Black Metal confirm Morbid sia!!Hehehehe..

but look at the date of the photo, if u bought it at that time and only now go back and complain....i doubt u cn get a refund or smthg cause it is 1 year already, more than that actually.

Woah, 1 year after and only now you start doubting? Must have been one heck of a guitar! Keep it unless you paid way too much for it...judging by its looks, it'd make one hell of a punk guitar, I say...

dun.. sell to me

but i blif G77 will not lie to you..

if that SG serial is true for a SG Special, then i gotta say i am quite disappointed. by the way, will it be convenient for u to tell us who attended to u?

It is easy to verify a model and the year of make from the serial number, I'll highly doubt the err on the Gibson rep side.

The only way i see it now, is for him to get alittle of the dough back due to wrong appraisal of the item or simply dishonesty on the trader's part.

then it sure is easy passing off an item which it is not supposed to be, take money and not be responsible for it
