Yes, Clairvoyent Records(dun really remember the spelling) at the basement of peninsula shopping centre.

theres a shop at queensway. serious variety of stuff tho be warned tt prices r high but tt guys got all of jason beckers stuff man!!! opening time is 6pm onwards on weekdays and 12pm onwards on weekends..

their stocks are limited, muzz wait long2 till they re-stock(maybe never), and collection wise is quite small. i mean, most albums i'm looking for is not sold there.

If you go to Peninsular Shopping Centre (beneath Excelsior Hotel) there are about 3 or 4 stores that sell *only* metal (of varying types). There are stores that sell only very narrow range of Death Metal - I don't know how they survive and also more broadly based shops.

IIRC, I think the queensway shopping centre one gone pussified and is now selling those simple plan cds.

Don't get too excited as they have very small selection and very genre specific in some cases.

There is Roxy (not just metal) which is kinda halfway between Pensinsular and Excelsior I think on 2nd floor. There are at least 2 other metal stores there, one of which is also some kind of studio. There are many metal t-shirt and paraphernalia shops, and of course guitar stores - lots of them. Maybe about 10 in total.

Don't get confused with Penisular Plaza the camera place. It's Peninsular Shopping Centre which is beneath the Excelsior hotel.

HMV at Heeren has a good selection of metal but very expensive.

Personally I buy most of my CDs on Amazon.
