Iron Maiden's New Album!

old, classic stuff man........

They should retire. They paved a whole new generation of metal bands to come forth and shine after their prime, though.

Long Live Maiden.

yeah there is a limited edition of their latest album!

i saw it at Music Junction in Tampines Mall...gotta get money before it the staffs take it down the shelves...

If you liked the last two Maiden albums, I think you will like this one...it is a tad bit proggy in a so call 70's atmospheric/repetition way hence the song lengths...I also think its a grower of an album...takes time to sink in and when it does...the choruses will get stuck in you head...on that point alone I think Maiden has done successfully what they do so well, yet again...I know I enjoyed the album.

i liked dance of death and brave new world a lot. but this album is just a very huge letdown for me. not that it is bad, but they could have done much much better. imo.

I feel that this album is not as good as the previous few albums tho. They kinda re-use most of the ideas and chord progressions, making the songs sound somewhat similar to their older stuff. Like the opening track, it just sounds very close to Rainmaker.

Probably this album requires a few more listens to let it sink in, but it also shows that the songs are not as catchy as they shld be.

Nevertheless, being a Maiden fan, u have to buy it la.

Pretty coo tat they're still churning up albums at their age. They're kinda the dudes who paved the way for me to go into tr00 music, of sorts...

got it not too long ago...its new anyway..haha...but a bit disappointing leh...they seem like they attempted to "modernise" to try to "fit in" or something. It was like almost every song started with a bass riff similar to many "modern rock" songs. The 3 beat gallop wasnt used in every song unlike in the past, and when it was used, it wasnt in the fast and furious Iron Maiden style it used to be. It was disappointing but not a earsore also lah...and to be fair, it wasnt as drastic a change compared to Metallica when they released St. Anger. :)
