When Janick came in for No Prayer, I felt like something was jarringly missing. Of course, this is after the fab album Seventh Sons.

I felt at first that janick jers was like quite extra, not very good, and that adrian and dave can handle all they stuff already. however if you watch their dvds janick seemed to be the most energetic (maybe due to age), and he was the one who wrote 'dance of death' (the song) and i enjoyed that song a lot.

but me thinks that adrian smith is the most skilled among them

erm, when adrian came back into the band, i think he plays less solos.. like in the rock in rio gig..

Adrian Smith is my favourite Maiden guitarist.
Dave did plenty of great solos in the early years.
As for Janick ... his solos are a bunch of crap.
But like Adrian, he's a pretty good songwriter.

Adrian Smith definitely.I have a DVD of the "somewhere on tour" 1986 and he really nails it with his Jaclson guiatr/guitar synth!
