HI Guyz,
My name is Lazius, 27 years of age, started Piano at ago of 6 then moved to drums at age of 12 in Nice southern France where I was taught to play jazz to beging with for at least three - four hours practice a day for 6 years.
I joined a local band at the age of 14 where we performed in all the pubs and clubs as well as concert halls performing infront of 3000 to 10 000 people. We entered a competition in 1996 and won third best band of the region and performed in front of more than 20 000 as this was our prize.
Then moved to the UK where I performed every weekend at a popular Pub called the bullingdon arms, a blues and Jazz place whilst working there behind the bar to pay school fees. Through this pub I got the opportunity to record for local and UK bands as a session musician as well as play live.
The year before I was in a school called Kings college where I practiced drums for 7 hours a day for an entire year, formed my own jazz rock band and collaborated with the schools drama department to created a show performed at other schools throughout the region.
After Oxford I moved to London to Uni where I jammed in other local pubs as well as started to teach drums. I also got the opportunity to carryon doing some session work for local London bands recording at the studio and on stage.
I am now happily living in Singapore, but moving ment I took a break from drums for three years as I had no time to practice, worked in sales and marketing.
Now all I want to do is to carry on my passion full-time which is Drums. I started again a little 8 weeks ago which prove to be very difficult I have lost most of my finger technique and playing with musicians has proved to be a challenge, but now I am married to a Singaporean and looking to play in a band, record for local artists, be a drum a consultant for bands and as well as teach which brings me tremendous joy.
If you want to jam and just have some fun, or need a drummer please call 9223 6439 or email lazius_kaye@yahoo.com
Cheers!
