to all the drummers here.

sometimes, maybe more often than not, they'll be who talk down on your skill level, your style, your beliefs, your sense of originality, etc.

when u get behind the kit, u're the drummer.

arrange your seat. when u're seated higher, you're able to use the ankle method. make the kick pedal work. hit the snare dead centre. smash the cymbals at a slant angle. u never ever need a click. use your heatbeat to guide you.

remember this. the motherfuckers who bullshitted about u can't even play the drums like you can.

just play.

Yeah I agree with you... so totally agree...

If I may add on a few things to what you have said... Drummers hold the band together with their time-keeping, sense of beat and rhythm. I have played with drummers who tried to be flashy and show off their skills but their playing threw the whole band off their beat. So the most important thing is to play with a good sense of rhythm and have a soul, a feel for the music.
