Hi SOFTies!

I hope everyone is well and all good.

I've been around the SOFT scene for quite a fair bit of time. Joined the forum way back in 2005 and was pretty active till I left for Melbourne, Australia 3 years ago on a MDA sponsorship to study overseas. Now that I'm back, I'd like to take this chance to say hi to all and of course wishing all our Chinese friends (myself include) Gong Xi Fa Cai.

Just a quick background on myself, and I hope to make it as succinct as possible.

I've been playing the bass for about 12 years now (I think). Worked my way up to the corporate gigging scene for a short amount of time before I had to leave the country. I've also spend 2 years working as a in-house audio engineer for a local audio-post production facility here in Singapore prior to leaving.

The 3 years spent overseas saw me working around the local music scene in Melbourne as a freelance engineer before joining a team of songwriters at the start of 2012 to work on a project that went all the way to Japan. I joined the team as a songwriter, music arranger, mixing and recording engineer and whatever hats I could wear along the way that came along with working independent. I had the privilege to work out of the biggest studios in Melbourne, mixing and recording on various vintage equipment including a week with a 40-year old Neve 5114 board that totally gave me the shits but was well worth it in the end. (Anyone who has worked off vintage boards will know it gets really painful to deal with old equipment; oxidised connections, busted caps and everything that comes along with age)

I'll drop one of the tracks off the album here for listening pleasure: https://soundcloud.com/exinated/anata/s-FcXXi

2013 saw a jump into the Vietnamese music scene. I wrote and produce a dance/pop track for a duo in Vietnam and a couple of days after it was released, the MV went on to No.1 for 2 weeks on Blastro Networks.

Have a look at the MV here if you're keen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPtNSpmhMjM

2014 saw the big move back to Singapore due to personal reasons. Anyone who has established themselves in a location for a couple of years and having to drop everything and move to another place, the feeling isn't a good one. It's like pressing the restart button but I'm kinda glad to be home where it all started.

I dabble in the dance/urban/R&B/hip-hop genres so I'll drop a couple of tracks off for listening pleasure.
