Welcome to S.O.F.T man!

You're never too old to learn the guitar. It just depends how far you wanna go on the instrument. As long as you're determined, I can assure you you'll be playing more than just three chords. And yep, like what lester mentioned, it's a never ending journey as you play and learn.
