hi. does anyone here has the same motherboard type as me?
i need to replace my mother CMOS battery , but i have 2 problems.
i lost my motherboard manual
and i cant open my cpu now.
screwdriver is in my parents room which is locked.

so can anyone tell me what is the model for the battery?
i heard the most common is CR2032....

can u guys help me?

the CMOS batt is located near the end of the board, along the edge. u cant miss it. normally its directly north of PCIx16 slot 1, or AGP slot 1. It has the CMOS jumper there. I hope u know that ur BIOS gets reset once u take out the batt. The batt should b universal for all mobos..tho i cant assure u on that. just take it out n bring to ur nearest hardware store n buy another. u cant open ur casing, how to take it out?

hey thanks for the info, not i cant take it out tonight only. hahaha
anyway, i am sure it is the CR2032 battery.
what do u mean by BIOs reset?
what is inmpt in BIOs?
will it affect my computer desktop settings?

Ur BIOS is important if u DIYed ur pc. The chances are the person who helped build that PC configured the settings for u, and those settings would b lost. If ur sure no1 has ever touched the BIOS & messed with the settings, or if ur PC is a branded one, then dont fret. Since its the default, it would b default again  Just need to set the time & date again thats all.
