If you know the exact stuff to get, I believe you can get from Art Friend or other art shop at Bras Brasah.

IMHO the price of the files are very expensive vs the amount of money + expertise the good repair/setup guys are charging.

IF you're planning to do a lot of filing OR you like to own tools then get em.

For me I just send any nut jobs to good old KC of Guitar Connection.

you have been very kind to me. Anyway there is really no substitute for nut files. You can make a bass nut with hardware store needle files, but to file a slot for a high E on a guitar, there's really no substitute for a good job. No need to buy 6 files though, 4 is enough. Usually they are 0.013, 0016, 0.024 and 0.035.
