Local pianist Ryan Chow, a graduate of Singapore Management University and Manhattan School of Music, presents a masterful concoction of works from the early retrospectivism of Mendelssohn and Grieg which culminated in the mature neoclassical works of the interwar period. A distinct trend which infiltrates early modernism in music, the programme looks back to the Classical and Baroque guised in a modern sound palette.
