IGNITE! Music Festival 2010 - Workshops By Timbre Music Academy
Instructors from Timbre Music Academy will be conducting 03 workshops as part of IGNITE! Music Festival 2010.
1) Strum & Sing
Caters to intermediate guitarists who have contemplated going over to the singing/frontline zone but do not know how or where to begin. Will include topics such as basic vocal techniques, strumming/plucking techniques, repertoire, live performance aspects and creating your unique package.
Instructor: Mang (Goodfellas / Zero Sequence)
2) Blues Music Appreciation & Blues Guitar Playing Styles / Technique
As the leader of Ublues/Blues train, the only band that has represented Singapore in overseas blues festival in New Orleans, Chicago, Brisbane, Danny will enlighten the audience on the various styles, era and artiste of blues music and the impact it has on today's music. For the guitar enthusiasts, he will also spend the 2nd half demonstrating blues guitar techniques, riffs and the other subtle aspects of sounding authentic when playing the blues.
Instructor: Danny (Ublues/Blues Train)
3) Bass Funk Style/Slap Technique
A 101 primer on funk bass slapping techniques as used by artistes as such as Mark King (Level 42), Flea, Victor Wooten and more. Fingerfunk style and technique ala Jaco Pastorius, Rocco Prestia (Tower of Power) will also be explored.
Instructor: Melvin (EIC)
