If you could only have 2 pedals...

OD (and sometimes distortion), used for both rhythm n bluesy leads - OCDv3
Distortion n singing lead - Toneczar Openhaus

Pretty much set. Have been using this combi for the past year now without change or complaint. :)

i wonder why no one asked what amp he's using before posting recommendations? I think that would make more sense. what sound are you looking for anyway?

hahah goose.. just to clarify what i mean is if you could only have 2 Overdrive/Distortion pedals. and sorry all for the late reply

I do have a DD2 and wah pedal and that just about covers all my modulation needs. Im fortunate enough to play thru a JC160 so it comes w chorus and vibrato fx if i do need them.

in my current rig is a Dr-Swamp for leads and hi-gain stuff, TS9 for overdrive. I also use a modded blues driver as a fatboost or on its own at times...Im using a strat and sometimes a les paul for the heavier stuff.

just trying to find something better. The TS9 causes a volume drop when bypassed and i have turn up the vol on the BD2 to boost it. Afterwhich i have turn down the vol on the BD2 because it will be too loud to use on its own. I've had the OCD in the past and i may go back to that again..

just welcome any suggestions because there is multitude of overdrive pedals out there... i've only tried 1% of the whole lot haha...

quite a valid pt, although I must say the OCD(at least the v3, never tried v2 and v4) and the Openhaus are relatively versatile pedals that can perform rather consistently well with most amps I've tried - solid state and tube.
