i just went down to swee lee today to test this axe thru the randall 60/65w amp.

awesome man!! it confirms my latest GAS!! i want it so badly.

the overall feel, thick and warm sound + sustain, although the knobs are quite stiff..

its an Indon piece.

it's definitely indo- same series as the Xiphos. no doubts about the tone as they feature the same DiMarzio pickups. however, for a non-Edge III equipped guitar, it's only $50 cheaper than the Xiphos...

PS: wow, that's fast- i told swee lee i'd like to test the guitar come Saturday & it's already in.

yeah. saw his post on luther. i'm interested in the xiphos due to the fact its neck thru. plus the reverse headstock is another plus point.

anyway, i dont really like jackson guitars, more used to the ibanez necks anyway.

the VBT is also neck-through. if you prefer the Xiphos- good for you; i've tried both guitars, tone-wise, the Xiphos is more appealing.

for me, the V-Blade is really good.. something which both my V's cant offer me, the mahogany body + string-thru-body design (i heard the sustain is better right?)..

i am actually getting used to playing with V's, be it sitting or standing.. gre8 feeling to have the guitar on ur thigh feels like i'm being lap-danced :lol:

the JT580-LP trem can be quite a hassle, but its quite stable for the time being.. i would prefer to have a non-FR V's for my next acquisition..

string-through-body promotes sustain but isn't the primary formula. Les Pauls aren't such but we know too well how they sustain...
