The neck joint on this guitar is a bloody embarrassment for a neck through, feels more like a set neck.

what's the fundamental difference between a set neck & a through neck, in terms of feel?

The neck heel is really blocky for a neck thru, compare it to a neck thru on an S series guitar. The heel on the VBT is closer to the set neck on the iceman.

Just put into hardcase, get them to stick fragile stickers and check it in, it'll be safe.

just FYI....the s-series guitars are bolt-on. not neck thru.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure the one i played was an S prestige.

s-series guitars are all bolt-on, regardless of prestige build. unless you are talking about her sister guitars, the SA and the SZ, well that may be a different story.
