Ibanez Soundgear

A friend of mine, wanted to sell me his Ibanez Soundgear bass with a Peavey Microbass amp for $200. It should be in good conditions as he seldom play it (he doesnt know how to, dun know why he got them in the first place)

Not sure if it's worth it, need some advices.


I am not too sure which series of soundgear he owns, coz he isnt too sure himself too, i'll try to get him to take pics of his bass, if he does, i'll post it up.

bought my Peavy MicroBass amp 3 years ago ...
it's really loud for it's size and wattage ...~
especially when compared to other bass amps with the same watts

thanks for the advices but i still wanna know which series of Soundgear he got, or doesn't that makes any difference in value?

you can actually ask him to check the back of the headstock .. they should have the model there ... ibanez always does that .. =) ..

it's prolly the Ibanez GSR 200, P/J 4 string Made in Indo/Korea/China.

if it's your first learning bass, that's a great deal, cuz then u can save up and spend more on your next bass if u decide to keep on playing. cheers

my main bass at the moment is an ibanez soundgear starter kit, pretty fine still =p

getting a new bass soon though
