Hey wanna ask some questions about this guitar. And, no, this is not the typical "is this guitar good for_____/ does this guitar sound good/etcetc" thread. Now on to my question. I'm planning to get this guitar, but after much reading up on google, i realized that it it now being made in Indonesia. And also many online, in other forums, have faced hardware issues with this guitar. Such as the finish fading off, strings not in line with the pups. Is the QC really that bad?
So should i still get this guitar? I mean i'll definitely try it and such before buying but i'm seeking an opinion from you guys who have more experience than me. Thanks.

Oh ok. So is it advisable to order an MII ibanez guitar through a dealer? Cause I believe the s570dxpm isn't available in any of the guitar stores here. And yes i did change from s470 to s570dxqm reason being that it has the quilted maple top and 24 frets/

the country of make isn't the faulting factor when it comes to bad guitars, it's the craftsmanship & QC issues per se. there are bad American guitars out there, i've definitely come across them, do not wish to discuss the brand name in question. i own chinese & indonesian guitars (ibanez & others) with no issues. as mentioned above, the nature of production for these units vary for individual instruments.

standard value has the S570 in stock, so does swee lee katong branch.

No wonder..... I believe the one with the quilted maple top is quite new. Released this year at NAMM. I shall wait for the quilted maple top one than...

Edit: Just read on ibanezwiki that it's only sold in the US and some other countries. FML. So the only way to get the quilted maple top one is to order it online eh?

that's quite the option. you can also check if any dealers here are willing to accept special orders. i'd rather you test the instrument out in person before parting with precious $$$...

if it's regional exclusive, sometimes local dealers simply can't get a good source for one- especially so when it's not economically viable to do so.

Subeversion: Thats what i thought too. Golden rule before buying a guitar is to be able to try it. I guess i'll go with the white one than.... sad :(
Ocean: Haha yea, i was just checking out their site...
