Ibanez RG321MH

loathed

hey guys, i was just looking through some guitars, and this guitar interests me. i play usually alot of metal and some rock. anyone here experienced with ibanez (going to be my first ibanez axe), let me know how the general tone of ibanez is? or more specifically the RG321MH.

was originally looking at some ibanez guitars with tremmy bars, but when i found out that they were floating bridges, i decided to go for fixed bridge, because i think i will be experimenting with alot of tunings on this new axe.

so anyone who has been to swee lee specifically or any other shops has seen this guitar around? does swee lee have them in stock? or do i have to order?

thanks in advance! cheers.

:)

thanks for the info, i got m RG321MH already =D

really good axe...im thinking of actually changing the pups to either EMG/seymour duncans/dimarzio. im specifically looking for a thick, chunky metal tone.

anyone got any recommendations of these pickups and where i can get them installed on my ibanez RG321MH?

cheers

beez would do a splendid job. if metal is your thing, going active would be a good choice but if you prefer tonal dynamics, stay passive.

no- blue/ black

I used to owned RG321mhwk.. a good guitar indeed. But the only flaw of ibanez is the neck finish. SOmehow ibanez neck doesnt have those laquer finish like fender's and other guitars, and this is what happen to my old rg321 after excessive playing. im not sure whether maybe its due to my somewhat sweaty palms. Hehe! ;)

it's not a flaw- the manufacturer chose not to gloss finish their necks for the RG. SZ models & some other selected makes do sport a gloss coating for the necks.

the active pickups incline towards drive/ distortion performance. if you wish for something which does well in various situations (not just distortion), passive units do better.
