any1 saw e advertisement at swee lee site...its going for $260, usual price they say its $400. couldn't find the retail price at ibanez catalogue though... Any reviews/comments bout it, coz i need some? thx...

1. There will never be any price listings of Ibanez guitars in the catalogues

2. It's a decent entry level. however, if you are interested in any Gio models, i still recommend the GAX70/ GSZ120

cool...i'd like 2 ask...does a whammy bar affect e tunings of a guitar by alot compared to a fixed bridge guitar?

whammy bar as in floating bridge? lots of factor goes into this, main factor being the quality of your FR. what kind of bridge it is, whether it's set up properly, whether the strings are new or old, all affect the tuning stability

regardless of whichever floating/ uni-directional bridge is featured in the guitar, if it's not well set-up, it'll affect tuning.

assess your needs- do you whammy? if you don't don't invest in one.

no point getting a floyd rose trem if u're starting out.. u'd end up frustrated doing the tuning.. and if u dont need it, dont get it...

we know Vai's whammy exploits too well, but you can sound intimidating without a whammy too.

i checked out the 170DX 2day, it was quite gd...except dat e width of e fingerboard was abit too much...so it was an awkward position for my thumb...other than that it sounded great with distort...even on a johnson bass amp haha...

know that majority of the Ibanez models, Gio or otherwise, sport a wide profile. this may need some getting used to if you are accustomed to narrow units like that of Epi's. the only Ibanez model which sports a not-too-wide neck, is the long discontinued Blazer.

yup, the at100, i tink it loox nicer than his current signature

the AT100 has a cult following & it didn't enjoy an international release. IMO Ibanez should retain BOTH the AT100 & the current AT models, which are based on the SA offering. btw, it's not based on a Blazer, but the RX series (discont'd)

the AT100, prompted me to buy the RX-40 8)
