Can you guys out there tell me more about S370(korea), how is guitar playablity, made, genre of music does the guitar goes best with, is it good to own one? best if mr.subversion could do a review on it..... thanks ppl :)

i'm very reluctant to review the S370 simply because it's discontinued & hard to come by in the stores. forum members in possession of the guitar, please give your comments here.

i have a brief spec of it here for your general reference:
S370RRF.jpg

*Neck- Wizard II
*Body- Mahogany
*Frets- Jumbo
*Pickups- Powersound
*Bridge- TRS/ ILT1

pre-2002 models sport the TRS vibrato, subsequently, until its final year of production in 2002, the guitar was equipped with the ILT vibrato which are now default units in the Gio series which sport floating vibratos. if you don't whammy & could acquire a used S370 for a bargain, the guitar would be a good player. otherwise, steer clear from the TRS/ ILT equipped guitars which possess inherent tuning issues.

it is best that you invest in the current offerings- S470/ S520 as these are ZR vibrato equipped, definitel value for your $$$. refer to GEAR NEWS 2005 for a review of the S520. 8)

yea ive got an s370 here. the flat violet one. anyway, its a gd guitar as long as you dont use the whammy bar too often. as everyone knows, the trs isnt really very tuning stable. the tone on the neck pickup is gd, but harmonics for the bridge pickup doesnt sound very strong. i dont use the centre pickup, lol. overall its a realatively gd guitar for most rock. not ideal for jazz/blues though. esp not jazz/blues.

You can upgrade the tremolo to an Original Floyd Rose... change the pups... then the s370 would totally rock.

But then... that would be close to what the guitar cost.

Bottom line... get the S470 or S520.
