quality wise similar,
nope just as i stated there they are cheaply made... i saw the soldering point and stuffs very untidy with parts arranged inproper such

soundwise not close to kent armstrong

however doesnt mean they are very very bad... they only sound decent

hey guys i just got my lp custom today. too bad i dint get the colour i wanted but its still nice anyway. im planning to upgrade the pickups soon but i dunno wat to get since EMGs 81/85 wont look nice on it. i need something dats very very very versatile(blues, rock, metal etc etc) and comes wif gold covers =D

I think the Genres you mentioned are really quite specialised sounding ... I can't think of any pick up that can give good sounding for Blues and Metal at the same time.

Think your LP custom already has a very good sound already ... I would retain the original sound of a Les Paul actually. :)

For playing different genres ... It would be good if you get another guitar specially for that. For me ... use my PGM for rock ... Emperor 2 for Jazz ... and Fender Strat for Pop / Blues stuff ... but my Fender is pretty screwed lah ... need some surgery soon ... :P

Anyway ... i'm not really an expert in gears ... still learning ... but these are things I would think about before I decide to change pick ups.
