I am very very disappointed with this recording ccompany called ''Musicavenue'' It is being managed by a 18 Yr old lady, by the name of Jaye...
I joined the co. as a performer, and was promised benefits by Jaye, one of the directors of this company...I performed for her projects, let her practice on her recording skills, and i even sung a demo and put it under MusicAvenue...When asked about my Demo which is with her, she told me ''no time la, think i so free entertain u ah?''
And from then on, i didnt see my demo again..It just disappeared...And it was one of my best compositions...
Furthermore, i was also promised to be paid, for teaching her how to play a song, but in the end, i wasn't....
Other than that, i was also told that i will be given free lessons by prefessionals to improve on my vocals bcus i have helped her company..But this was dragged for half a year.....And when i asked for the date, Jaye, one of musicavenue's director said ''cannot wait den dun take up lor, and i only TOLD u i will, i nv PROMISE u i will''
So dear readers, i strongly urge u to e CAREFUL when joining companies..Make sure they have the ability to fullfil wad they have promised and practice what they Preach...
Best regards

Stevenson

Fu*# these ppl...

i sympatize with your situation dude
it sucks to be ripped off

but u did all this for a company with a 18-yr old director?!?
and i'm assumin nuthin was put into black-n-white? contracts that can be enforcable at law?
did u actually think what u were doin ?

Hmm....This chick is really something....

I think you should pursue the matter no matter how long it takes. Trust me, if you bug her long enough, she will give in.....Why? Well, firstly just to let you know, she now has the demo and if that song is a potential hit(and she knows it), she will try to sell it overseas(be it taiwan, HK or somewhere around the region).

And if she's successful in cutting a deal with some music publisher/producer, this is what you will lose out -
1) The copyrights of the song - She will definitely change the ownership of the song to be hers.
2) Potential loss of income(Mechanical royalties, Synch royalties and Performance royalties) - If the song succefully lands up in a famous artise's album and gets played to death on the radio.

This may not look like a big deal to anyone now, but trust me, if that song gets picked up and becomes a hit, it will be too late.

i feel sorry for this guy here.. that time i was at the music avenue thread.. after checking out their *website* and their forum, i don't think the company is trustable at all..

Honesty and EQ counts

Well, no matter where u work, EQ and ur honesty is important...Of course to play smart too..But still honesty and EQ is one of the important factors...

I feel that the person who cheated me, should face up to reality...This industry is very small, what goes around comes around...As for this con-lady, i feel an immaturity in her to do such things...

Especially in this industry, u shd be more mature, i'm sure most noe wad i mean....But , the way this con-lady conned my composition, is really a very immature action...She thinks she is very smart, but actually she doesn't know what people is saying at the back of her...And, the more she do such nonsense, the dumber and laughable she appear to others..People will just see her as making a fool of herself...
So, dear CON-LADY who cheated me, Please WAKE UP:D

now that's a breed of ppl the copyright police should take note of. Stealing people's music is bad, especially that of young aspiring musicians. We should lock them (offenders) in a room and blast Britney Spears songs 24/7 until they return the original.

what to do... I think every Industry would have it bad eggs. I personally had met a few of these bad eggs before in the music industry. still lifes go on. what we can do is warn others and we wouldn't be able to warn the whole of singapore. they still have their means to do their stuff. Think whatever you want to do, give yourself a little insurance by getting a black and white. :)

Hey guys,

Guess this is gonna be a serious case which is currently going on.

1st: Our founder did not make any promises that THERE WILL BE FREE TRAINING as everyone in market understands there's no such things happening that provides everyone a free course. If so, it will gonna be trial lesson for people who are preparing signing up for courses.

I guess miscommunication leads an title to a word "CONNED".

Please get our company services well before making any public offensive post..

To the person who post this, please take note that all files that u did recorded have officially removed. Due to copyright of composer, we do not keep any music that don't belongs to our company.

Cheating case, we strictly against case like this. Please note that Music Avenue DID NOT keep any files of performers without permission and have not been collecting any fees..

Please contact us at info@musicavenue.org or contact us at 81809115.

firing? i see no right firing anyone. as he is not our staff.

He was once our freelance performer who help us once only. Helping us as our founder friend basis.. Our founder age have not been declared.

He was just a 15 years-old boy, yes... he did a performance with us during last X'mas as everyone know's it's a volunteering performance for a Bar due to it's New Opening...organising a function party. We did it for a friend as a favour.Whatever things that he said are madeup as a story to accuse my company, changing our company name is because it's our ex-team name...and mainly because we need a proper name for our own company.

Above msg is by our founder.

Please note that, in any case we shall take serious legal actions towards the person who tends to tarnish our comp's reputations.

As we can all see, it's important to hear both sides of the story before making a decision. I think the both of them should sort it out on their own. This thread should be locked to prevent anymore heated debates and finger pointing.

Now, which is which?
