I have done a lot of searches regarding humbucker pickups and its prices here in SG, I have been torn between the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded combo which is the JB SH-4 bridge and 59 SH-1 or JAZZ SH-2 over TESLA (place your model/s here). I know the Seymour Duncan price is a bit higher compared to Tesla, but can you enlighten me if there is any EQUIVALENT to the Seymour Duncan combo from the TESLA pickups.

or TESLA EQUIVALENT to those of the HOTROD combo

:)

Never tried Tesla before. but SD I can swear by SD's quality. so I'd rather just pay for SD. but if you can find an equivalent please do share.

should there be equivalence when it comes to pickup tonal manifestations, across brand names? it would then be easier for us to affiliate ourselves to just one brand name because they sound the same as the rest...

IMO it's more objective to works towards what you wish to achieve, eg: warm cleans/ great distortion response/ less midrange/ etc...
