How well do you know the Vox AD15VT?

I put up a Vox AD15VT for sale and someone who viewed it pointed out to me that the sound was distorted towards the end. Right at the point where the sound trails off (for the last 1/2 second or so) there is distortion.

I then took the amp to MikeMann who tested it thoroughly and his verdict was that the amp seemed to be OK and that the distortion may be something designed into the amp models and settings. He made sure the tube and the cone were OK as well.

I did some basic research and found that some other people thought the distortion is inherent to the amp too.

I guess the best would be for me to record the sound and post it but I dont have any recorders that would capture the sound decently enough for a review.

Can anyone else who owns the amp shed some light on this please.

Thanks in advance.

ya..it sounds broken..i own the AD50vt-212 for almost 2 years..no problem leh..
totally no pedals right? it should never sound like that.. but it does sound like u jacked a screw driver into the cone...

Mikemann checked the cone lah. Said nothing wrong with the cone or the preamp tube.
