How to song write, connect the rhythm with the lyrics

Hey. I've got this problem with mi band. We have been playing for 4-5 months. We have composed 3 songs. But we find it hard to connect the song with the lyrics. Anyone could share a tip or two for our band?

maybe connect the genre of the song with the lyrics, if it's black, then write about something like sacrificing, worshipping etc. that kinda stuff.and well, the tempo of the song matters too.for example when it's fast, the lyrics can be about trying to escape from some predator. and if it's slow, maybe about the process of some rituals. and the key it is in or modulates into. minor?major?augmented?diminished?make sure the content of the lyrics fits the tune.

What do you mean by "hard to connect the song with the lyrics"?

Do you mean the lyrics doesn't suit the mood of the song?

yea..how to create the mood and lyrics to fuse..btw..our genre is alternative rock..

for my band, we usually write out the riffs for the song first, then we sort of demo it instrumentally and just add in the lyrics as we listen to the demo. Helps as you are going with the rhythm or the song.

My band try to write something that we feel about and experienced. It can be a fun and happy thing

We avoid writing something that has a "cool" content just because "it sounds cool and attitude". It will make it sound fake, unless one is a seasoned commercial song writer.

But on how lyrics really blends with the rhythm or melody, it's really hard to comment, no fixed rules I guess. Just sing along and if it sounds funny, change it

Songwritting is like mastering wat ever instrutment u play, u have to keep doing it then u will improve. As for lyrics fitting the song, no hard and fast rules really, if u check some of the lyrics of Oasis songs, they are mainly gibberish. For eg. Some Might Say with lyrics like "The sink is full of fishes and she got dirty dishes in her brain" :lol: but that song was a hit during its heyday...so no hard and fast rules really.

Try to identify the keywords in the phrase.
Than use the starting of the bar on every important keyword and link onwards.
