How to scallop your guitar?

i use a file or rasp, not sure whats the difference, but its a rod and its just a rod with lines on it to create friction.
i also use a needle file, half round and round one to make it even.
thats the frigging tiring part... =.=

just wondering, what if scallops were made in rectangles instead of semi circles?

It would look like an Indian instrument. (not implying anything) On a side note... The joints that hold the frets might be weaker...
