How to remove stuck screws?

I have 2 stuck screws behind my les paul and it's immensely hard to remove. The groove of the screws seem to have been 'filed' down by the screwdriver, making it even harder to remove. Any suggestions guys? I need to deal with contact problems on the pup switch.

i got this prob too.. i havent touched that particular guitar for years.. i dunno how to remove it either. see if anyone here got any inputs.. :D

try superglue. glue a metal to the expose part of the screw, wait a few mins, then turn... the cheapo $1 superglue will not work...

this might be dangerous since this method could affect the guitar paint.

try at ur own risk.

i tried this for a screw that got worn out by my screwdrivers..

slotted screw driver head. Not the philips or "+" ones. its the the "minus"," - " or "flat" screwdriver.lie the screw driver shown above.

u will need this two equipment and a cloth to protect the body.

saw across the screw head....like the shape of the slotted screw driver..and then use the newly saw shaped and use the slotted screw head and unscrew the screw.

haha,i never seem to be able to explain or put across my ideas properly.

hope the complicated instructions helped..be very careful of the guitar body.haha,i'm so gonna get sued.

i was like going to suggest why not use super super strong magnets to attract the screws out then i realised that the pick-ups themselves are made of magnets.
lol.

but how exactly are the screws stuck?

Oh my god. Kimmi that's a relaly drastic measure! Haha might resort to that if I cant get the dumb screw out.

KeDraiv - I think the screws rust and got stuck? Plus, the worn groves of the screw head makes things even harder -.-

well actually its really not taht drastic,i was gonna recommend a dremal tool with the circular saw to cut a flat line alot the screw and slowly apply tension to unscrew the screw cause alot of you do that and just strip the biting parts of the screw that a driver catches, trust me ive dont this on alot of things
