any idea how to remove light scratches tat appear on guitar surface which have no gloss layer on it Eg. Matt Finish

thxs in advance~~~

it's called "scratch-x" or something like that. was discussed previously on another section. can get it at DIY shops like self fix or home fix and costs bout $18. i've never used it before, so can't comment on the effectiveness, but i guess it should be good. hope this helps bro.

i seriously hope the thread starter have yet done any "repairs" to his/her guitar..

There is no scratch removal solution for matt surface. Any product in the market will simply make the area shiny. They all work like brasso relinquish69 mentioned. Just in different density, like sandpaper.

at least i've not seen a product that will recover a matt surface.

My guitar also has quite a few scratches because it doesn't have a pickguard. It's a black glossy finish. Anyone care to help me out :)?
