How to record singing when in karaoke room ?

I've problems recording my singing when I'm having a karaoke session. Any idea how to ?

Nobody sings in my kind of karaoke, and nobody should be doing any recording either..!

soft - my current handphone haha. so I'm finding of course a better one at the same time not so expensive. Anything lower than the Zoom H1 / H2 ? Which is pretty decent or just average ?

chungmun77 - I just record to see my performance , and any improvement then i'll try to correct it.

I think using handphone is ok. Just don't put it too close to the speakers. What you can do is after you record, listen to the playback outside with a headphones to check if the signal is ok. Reposition the handphone for optimal recording result.

chungmun77 needs a better video camera.

I have a camera too. Will there be any difference ? I tried to use my handphone, the distortion is too much eventhough I put far from the speakers.

Can turn the volume of the karaoke system lower. Much lower. Got to do some trial and error.

Should I turn the volume of the music and volume of mic lower together ?

Yes, bring both lower. Again, got to try a few times. Once you get the balance right, it should be much better.

Alright got it. I'm still gonna search for a better recorder compared to my phone but at a decent price not like the Zoom H1 / H2.
