How to Record Drums

Hey guys. any of you have experience with recording your own drums at home? share some of your experience and how to go about doing it well and professionally. the placing of the mics etc etc. yup..

Do you know if you're going analogue or digital? Through a usb/firewire interface or harddisk recorder? At which level are you needing help with? from "what hardware do I need" or just how to get good sound etc?? Its a very broad topic so need more info from you first...
