How to record drums on Multitrack rec. software?

Hi guys, Any recommendations for drum mics, drum recording interface? How does it works? help plz? im kind of interested to do this.. at the same time expand my knowledge abt acoustic drum recording..

Simple. Each drum component gets a track in the recorder. This is so that each instrument of the drumset gets its own attention for processing, analysing, and fine-tuning.

What matters is the technique. You can have mics for each and every piece, or you can group them.

thx bro.. ! Is there a dealer here ? and whats the price range like for Presonus Studio 14.2.6? If im planning to record guitars.. bass.. vocals and drums all together.. shld i get that? or is there a cheaper alternative(same brand Presonus)?

Buying an interface may not be enough, but is a start. There's also the topic of matching mics and mic-pres to get the character of the tone you're after and the topic of room treatment.
