ahhh time to ask noob questions!

if a tab that requires me to play artificial harmonics

say its on the high e sring and on the 6th fret

do i play the 5th fret from the nut or the 6th fret from then nut

i hope you guys understand what im trying to say t.t

I hope i interpret your question correctly....to my understanding it should be on the 6th not the 5th....if you're following a tab then follow what it denotes unless otherwise.

eh maybe i misintepreted artificial harmonics

is it the one whereby i press my finger slightly against the fret but not totallly? or the one where i use my picking fingers along with a pick?

Artificial harmonics = Pinch harmonics

Its the one where you strike the fretted note with your pick and a slight touch/pinch from the side of your thumb which holds the pick...hope i dont confuse you lah bro...the latter one as describe by you
