could some of you guys tell me more abt playing at the esplande? i mean near the waterfront on this open air stage.

like, do they provide drumset?
need to pay to play?
how to contact them?
the amps and stuff...
when gigs are held?

thanks so much if you could provide me info.

ahha i think this thread requires a better answer. your band muz not only be good, duh, but you need the required contacts. that would be best.

Its all about connections i guess.

weet.! I enjoyed myself at Mosaic Music Fest. HEHE!.

Back to topic !

1) Join a competition and win or finalist.
2) Play as many gigs as possible, share the stage famous bands is best.
3) Make a good demo tape and send to them
4) Be Proffesional in everything you do
5) Have loads of contacts with the industry esp. Esplanade.
6) Pray hard that they will contact u.

Thats what my thought ah. hehe.

no la. That time the security guard told me you must send a recording to their email which is on the website. Then they'll contact you. Something like that..

Yes, that's one method but we work straight with the programming people at the Esplanade. And yes, the slots are pretty taken till Sept, darling. Trust me on this one.

*Trust AgingYouth's words*

Hmm, besides AgingYouth, which other grps/organisers have connections with Esplanade? Umm I know Fruit Records, WakeMeUpMusic, Music For Good, ... RockStarCollective?

Practise is VERY important (for the audience's sake), but having good conektions is almost the other half of the formula man.

Or you can book and organize your own gig/concert

connections can and should be established, and you can be very honourable and honest while doing so. it just takes time and effort, like anything else.
