how to merge video with audio? HELP!

hi guys, would like to ask if i record a performance using audio interface and a videocamera, how do i merge the audio that i obtain from the recording from the audio interface together with the video that i recorded? coz the videocamera would have recorded the sound as well right?

If you're using WIndows Movie Maker, Upload the video onto the storyline.
Then minus off the sounds from the video.
Then upload the sound from the audio interface into the storyline.
And drag the sounds till it 'lipsync' with the video

what os are u using?
if ur using mac then iMovie or Final Cut are the best.
