How to get the best settings with pod2.0 at jamming? coz i understand jamming studios dun go thru PA.. what i used at home is thru PA and i get the coolest sound i have, but during jamming, it is difficult to get the same sound with their amps. What output volume do you guys normally set to? and do you follow the instruction manuel of turning treble, bass to 0 ,only contour/middle turned to middle? Normally i set amp volume at MAX, gain volume at low, but feedback is very strong, how to reduce? amatuer here... any experiences with pod2.0?

Hi there,

There are quite a few things to experiment:

First of all, is to make the guitar amp in the studio sound as clean and neutral as possible, almost like PA.

Secondly, experiment with the Amp/Direct switch. There is no absolute right or wrong, but go for the one that sounds best to your ears. Audition with a few amp models, eg clean and drive and see how it sounds.

Thirdly, experiment different cabinets selection on the POD 2.0, or even bypass cabinets since the guitar amp is already a cabinet on its own.

The last thing you can try is to send the POD 2.0 to the Aux return on the guitar amp if there is any. In this way, you actually bypass the preamp section of the guitar amp and replace it with your POD 2.0, and you are just using the speaker and poweramp of the guitar amp.

Keep trying with different setups with various brands and models of amps and direct connections. In no time, your ears will be really good at determining the kind of adjustments and setups required.

Good Luck!!!

Cheers!!!!!

actually you can plug it in into the keyboard amp if theres no keyboardist in your band.. keyboard amps has full range speakers and they are like your pa systems too..

so has pod been proven to work best only with PA speakers? i think i shld listen to city_music's advice..try some experimenting
