How to do screamo?

hey just asking..

how do i heighten the pitch of my screaming? i can only manage to death growl/gore and scream normally but its more to the lower pitch. ive tried practicing on songs like ascendancy by trivium and this calling master by all that remains but only managed to naturally sound out a deep bass growl. at most its one of those gay screamo screams..

yeah, so how do i do it?

what i did was to place my tongue behind my lower teeth and let out more air than doing growls. also open your mouth wider, a big wide oval shape. andddd believe that you can do it. LOL that's what i did and it works! hope it helps..

What's your screamo style?

Okay now that there's lots of advice on how to scream, I would just like to know whether your screamo style is based on learning/copying/watching from others' or that you just did it without any practice, experience, knowledge or understanding (naturally, in other words)?
