How to clean oxidised metallic parts of guitar?

Hi Guys,

May I know what can be used to clean off oxidised metallic parts like bridge, pickups, machinehead tuners etc and make them shine? Can Brasso be used?

I use brasso. I apply it on with a cotton bud, then wipe it off with a cloth.

Do note that although Brasso will remove the oxidation, it'll make your gold-plated hardware silver. It just rubs the whole layer away, so do be careful.

I use Autosol. Works wonders on frets; looks shinier than new. Also on rusted parts of my open-humbuckers and screws as well. I dunno, but Autosol might be "too strong" for other areas of the guitar. Finish, maybe?
