What are the stages i have to go through in order to become a qualified professional drum teacher?

What exams and classes i have to enrol to be a professional qualified drum teacher?

I don't think there is exactly a standard when it comes to teaching drums..
it really depends on where ur gonna teach..

If in public schools, some form of recognised (eg ABRSM, Trinity) theory and practical would go a long way..

In most commercial music schools, recommendations by other teachers and professionals, as well as reputation are the main criteria..

Some more established schools like Yamaha require certain theory background as well as an audition and written paper...

In a Arts College (eg. La Salle, NAFA, YST consevatory), you will likely need a music related degree, or be extremely recognised within the professional circuit.

hey man, there are some uni's in australia that have a music teaching degree. its a 3yr course, 2yrs of practical study(drum performance major) and the last yr being a teaching major. all u have to do is audition if they thing ur alright they let u in.
i feel being a gd teacher is also having gone to a few teachers to study. u'll see gd ones and u'll see not so gd ones. the bad ones are just as important as the gd ones as they give u an idea of wat not to do. hope this helps
