How often change your string?

2 weeks once, cos its sick to do so on a floyd. haha, on my vintage trem is used to change once a week. cos the strings get black very quickly and i hate those string cleaners like fast fret and stuff.

lucky my main guitar is floyd so i can save money due to my laziness

I intend to keep the entire guitar stock lol... if the stock strings burst, I'ma solder em back together again.

what about when your fingers smell like steel after you've been playing. does that mean its time to change them?

For my D'addario days.. i used to change once a week. Now, having changed to DR, my guitar puts on a new set of strings every 2 weeks.

once or twice a week...? that's a little to quick eh...? the strings on mine RG since last yr forget when...still sound good...cost a lot to keep changing know...

s long s the 'feel' is there when u play and the strings still deliver the tone u want, juz whack it. i change whenever i feel like it. sometimes they last a few days, sometimes a few weeks, 3 months also got. its something that is not fixed.

about 2 to 3 months once. my strings are hard to rust. haha
however, i find GHS boomer rusts easier.

maybe due to the fact that i don't have sweaty palms? my friend who have tend to change more than me. He had 2 sets changed and i still have mine on the first set.

still nice and slinky. without any string cleaner.

i havent changed my strings in almost a yr..mostly cus never played it in a yr..since im startin to get serious abt my guitar and all..i was wondering what do u guys do to maintain ur guitar and keep it cool n all..what kinda strings are recommended and any polish uhh cleaners or anything required to maintain?

Just a good wipe down of the guitar body and strings would pretty much do it. You could invest in all the polish and stuff, but i don't really feel it necessary. They'll last so long as you take care of it ;) The longest i've been without a string change was about a year, but the feel and tone of it... lol
