i noe this is kinda stupid but i would juz like to get some opinion from others. how much would you sell your instrument considering that it is still pretty new and in good condition... say you bought it at $1000.

I'd prefer to stick with it.

But if I am to sell it, obviously I'd go for the highest price possible.

i mean like how much would you sell it so that you don't suffer such a huge loss.. but not too high that people don't want to buy it

maybe u shld go over to luther ads or soft ads to see if theres anyone selling the same instrument u are talking about...its quite hard to quote if we duno what exactly u wana sell...cuz it depends on the demand for it....

normally if it's very good condition, sell at 90% lor...

i think a good way to judge would be to rate the playing, working conditions. so like maybe 8/10, then u multiply by the original price? haha then ppl will bargain.

if u're lucky n u got a vintage stuff,u can earn a profit.

like if ur grandad bought a 59' les paul in 1959 for US$3,000, u can earn US$197,000 if u sell tt babe...

but if it's juz some plain budgte axe like a samick strat which costs $150,ppl wont pay more than $100 for it, regardless of the age or condish..even if u're selling it 1 hr after u bought it,ppl will suspect y u're selling so fast after buying...

Go to www.harmonycentral.com, look for the item I'm selling, average out the 2nd hand prices there, then do a conversion from USD to SGD.

But that's just me.

lol.. sell for wad? it really depends.. if its a worth keeping for 30 over years then admire, then KEEP. omg. but if its a cheap <500 guitar that u fell for when you were a noob, LIKE ME.. then sell to new noobs by all means at arnd 85% of the original cost.
